Chapter 03
Plan future actions
Build a 50-turn schedule that you can move, swap, and revise.
One main action and one support action per turn
You can reserve actions for the next 50 turns. Each turn has one main slot and one support slot, for up to 100 reservations. Check the actual scheduled date and time as well as relative labels such as +1h.
| Slot | Available actions |
|---|---|
| Main action | Prepare land, Clear forest, Plant forest, Reclaim land, Build facility, Upgrade facility, Demolish facility, Raise funds, Evacuate |
| Support action | Repair facility, Trade resources, Emergency response |
Production, taxes, food consumption, population changes, and events continue in empty turns. An empty slot does not automatically raise funds. Automatic trading, evacuation, and emergency responses run without using reserved action slots.
Connect preparation and construction
To build a factory on an unprepared plain with woodland, for example, schedule Clear forest on turn 1, Prepare land on turn 2, and Build facility on turn 3. If construction succeeds, the factory begins operating on turn 4. You need enough cash, materials, and reserves at each step.
You may see warnings about current shortages or an unsuitable site when scheduling. You can plan to resolve those conditions before the action runs, but it will fail if they are still unmet at execution. Review the whole sequence in the Economy forecast.
Move, swap, and cancel
- In Plan, choose an action and a destination time. An empty slot moves the action; an occupied slot in the same lane swaps the two actions' times.
- Canceling an action empties only its own slot. Later actions do not move forward.
- If you cancel land preparation at 12:00, construction scheduled for 13:00 stays at 13:00. Review that construction if the preparation was required.
- A turn that has reached its deadline can no longer be edited. When returning to the app, let elapsed turns finish processing before changing future plans.
Rebook an unsuccessful action
The default If this cannot run setting is Hold for rebooking. When an action fails, Plan shows its reason under Waiting to be rebooked. Resolve the cause, press Rebook, and choose an empty future slot. A held action does not automatically move to the next turn.
Skip and finish leaves a report of the failure and ends the action. A failed action does not charge its command cost, but normal operating costs, automatic trades, and other successful actions still occur during that turn.
