Chapter 01
Your first island
Make a small plan, then return to see how your island has changed.
Life on the island has already begun
A new island starts with 2,000 residents, 1,500 G, 640 food, and 180 materials. There is housing for 2,400 people. You have two residential areas and one each of a farm, fishing harbor, mine, factory, trading port, warehouse, disaster center, and park.
Food and material production, factory sales, and automatic trading are available from the start. You do not need to fill all 50 hours of the plan. Check the outlook for cash and food, then try one small development.
Schedule your first action
- Open Island and select a tile. Check its terrain, woodland, preparation status, and any existing facility. For this example, find a prepared plain with no woodland or facility.
- Under Choose an action, select Build facility, then choose a facility. A park costs 80 G and 10 materials.
- Choose Scheduled time and If this cannot run, then press Schedule action. Nothing is paid when you make the reservation.
- Check the reservation in Plan, then open Economy to review the cash forecast and any unsuccessful actions.
- After the update, open Journal to read the result: Done, Held, or Failed, along with the reason. A successfully built facility becomes active on the following turn.
